new law, as of this year, 2 years, prior to that 1 year. If governmental entity defendant, then claim made in certain format within 6 months. Be careful.

Re: Accident
Thank you for your inquiry.
The true answer depends on when the injury happened, AND what you are suing for. If you were involved in an accident and nobody was hurt, you have up to three years to sue for property damage. If you are suing for personal injury, then, as Mr. Selik suggested, if the accident occurred last year, you only have one year to file a lawsuit. If a government agency was involved, you need to file a government claim within six months. If the accident happened this year, or after 1/1/03, then you have two years, under a new law.
I hope that this helps, but if you have other questions, need more information, or would like legal representation, please feel free to email me directly at [email protected]. I am happy to help you in any way that I can.
Re: Accident
If the accident took place anytime before, Jan 1, 2003, you generally have one year from the date of loss to settle or file the lawsuit. But there are special time limits for minors, government claims and uninsured motorist matters. After Jan 1, 2003, the general time limit is 2 years from the date of loss. Re: Accident
If you want to sue for bodily injury, its one years since the date of the accident.
Re: Accident
Depends on when the accident happened. If it occurred this year, the statute of limitations is 2 years. If it happened before, the statute is one year.
