If you're injured, the sooner the better.

Insurance companies are looking for holes in your story of being injuried and the severity of the inury. The longer you wait to see someone for treatment, the lesser the injury appears to be. The most important matter, however, is that you make the best recovery you can, and that normally requires getting treatment as soon as possible.

You may need to see the doctor as long as the treatment helps you to the full recovery. The period and type of treatment should be reasonable. Feel free to call us at 213.388.7070 for a free consultation.

Common sense you tell you that should see a doctor or go to the ER as soon as possible if you are really injured, for your own sake. If there is a gap or delay in treatment of a week or more then their insurance company is going to say you weren't really hurt in the collision and you went to the doctor to build a case.

I would never take a case if there was more than a week delay in seeking medical treatment if it was a soft tissue case or there wasn't a good explanation of some inability to get to a doctor or ER room.

Not having insurance is no excuse because all hospitals have to treat you and most good chiropractors will treat you on a lien basis i.e. what until your case settles before you have to pay them.

Good luck and hope that helps and you may call us if you have any question at (866) 981-1850 or check our website out at www.bellilawfirm.com
