Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

accidental gunshot

I was moving out of a home that I was renting and one of the movers accidentally discharged a shotgun into the driveway. The pellets richoceted into the legs of a fellow helper. I don't have renter's insurance. Am I liable for any damages?
