Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Acussed of hitting a parked car, can i win this???

Been served to appear in Small Claims court. A former neighbor of mine said she parked her car behind my truck one night and the next day my truck was gone and her hood was crushed in. I do not remember her parked behind me nor did I hit the car. However I did look at the damage on the hood and it is on the drivers side up the hood about almost half way and since my truck sits high I see how it looks perfect for the height and side. It maches perfectly but there are tons of trucks in my area the same height. Only problem is I did not do it and she has decided to take it to court since I told her maybe she hit me. They have no false ''witnesses'' or anythig like that. She moved her car that day and did not call the police for 2 days. My question is can I win this or am i going to get screwed here in court? Thanks for your help.

Your ex-neighbor has the burden of proof. She doesn't have a witness, and there is an unexplained gulf in time. She can't point to your truck and show her paint is on your bumper. You might discuss paying something if you want to avoid the uncertainty of a trial and possible judgment, without admitting any fault.
