Legal Question in Personal Injury in California
Attorney not showing proof of deposit to court
Hello, I have a question about our
attorney not showing proof of deposit
for my son's injury case. They didnt
show up for court either. I looked on
the court website and it says order to
show proof of why my son and
attorney should not be santioned for
not providing proof to the court as
previously ordered. I'm just
wondering why my son would be in
jeopardy of being fined when this is
the attorney's responsibility to show
proof.

Copy the notice from the court and send a copy to attorney, with a letter that you will pick up your file, and are complaining to the State Bar.
Look up the State Bar, and file a complaint against the attorney.
Find a new P,I, attorney ASAP.
Pick up your file from old attorney.
Your new attorney should be able to handle the discrepancy in the court's files.

You are right. You should get your son new counsel if the attorney is not responsibly protecting his interests.
