Legal Question in Personal Injury in California
In August of 2005, I was 17 years old and involved in a "fender bender" with another driver. I was at fault but I did not have insurance. I've been paying the insurance company since November of 2007. Recently, I missed a payment and called in and now they are demanding I pay 10% or they can't establish another payment plan and my license may be suspended. I'm almost 22 now and very scared. I don't have the money and I need my car to drive to work. As far as the accident went, I owed $8,548.51. I've been able to bring it down to $7,000 but it is such a burden. I can't even recall if I ever received proof of hospital records, and as far as I know the damage to her car was not that bad. How do I find all this out? I've seen a lot of negative information about CCS (Credit Collection Services) online and I'm worried. How can I get all of this information to make sure I wasn't screwed over??

You can ask for all evidence of the plaintiff's losses. They may not be required to show you, since you agreed to pay for this.. Typically, people would discharge this debt through bankruptcy, since I doubt that you have that much in assets or in income.
