Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Auto accident

My dauther was involved in an auto accident with a police offer, when I contacted a para legel I was told there is a six month statue of limitations, when a goverment official is invovled and since the accident accured in 06 we can no longer sue, is this true

Don't get your legal advice from paralegals. Claims against public entities in California are complex things. Normally you have six months to "present a claim" but this can be extended to as long as one year.

The general rule is that you have six months to present a claim against a government entity. However, there are exceptions. The paralegal should not be giving you legal advice. This is not what they do. Immediately contact an attorney and get competent legal advice.
