He knew it was wrong to let my son drive, but he did anyway. He had let other unlicnesed frends drive so he wanted to. My son was the only one injured. He sustand a concussion which his insurance took care of. My son has no memory of that day. The frends father is sueing me for the loss of the car. I say both boys are at fault and we should split the loss. Am I right or am I liable.

Re: Auto Accident
Do you know if the car was insured? If it was then the insurance company should pay for the loss and if they feel your son is responsible they can take it up with you. For right now I would accept no liability on behalf of your son. His son is the party who allowed an unlicensed driver to opperate the vehicle. I would not even speak with this man on the phone. If he continues to harass or threaten you should contact an attorney to file a restraining order against him. If you would like to speak with me regarding your possible liability for this accident please feel free to contact my office at 877-546-9918 or by email at [email protected]. The call and consultation are free. I would need to speak with you in order to determine the extent of your sons liability for this accident, if there is any at all. This way you are prepared with the right legal advice should this gentleman decide to sue you. I look forward to speaking with you.
Sincerely,
John Hayes, Esq.
