Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

"Auto Accident: I'm Being Sued"

In April '99, while proceeding at a green light, the car in front of me abruptly stopped and I bumped his rear bumper. There weren't any injuries or damage to either car. I was driving a friend's rental car, which didn't carry insurance. In April 2000, I was notified that I was being sued for damages and injury. I don't know how to proceed. Please advise on what steps should be taken to resolve this issue.

Re: Being sued

Firstyou must answer the complaint which will be served upon you. This is VERY important. You should notify your auto insurer as there is a possibility that you may have coverage under your own policy. You really should retain counsel. I have over 20 years experience in defending these types of cases. If you are in the So Calif area and would like an appointment please contact me by e-mail at [email protected]
