Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

auto accident

If I go to trial and lose, do i have to pay all their

lawyers fee. I don't have the money,what can they do.

If the case is about an auto accident you will not be required to pay attorney fees. However, if you lose, you may be required to pay court costs, costs of service of the lawsuit and costs for depositions and perhaps some expert witness costs.

If you don't pay they can garnish your accounts and wages, or require that some of your personal property be sold to pay the bill. You are allowed to exempt a reasonable amount of property from garnishment and sale.

You can always declare bankruptcy.
