What is the minimum amount of automobile insurance required in California.

In california you are required to have a minimum of $15,000/$30,000 in liability coverage and $5,000 in property damage coverage. No other insurance for your car is required by law. However, if you finance your car the finance company will require you to have collision coverage. In order waive uninsured motorist coverage, it must be done in writing.
