Then got on in el Salvador to lax no problem, he is like a therapy dog for my disabled husband and me. We love him like a kid. So when i got ready to leave back to Belize on 2/15/2013 i had his reservation just like before had to go home and pack and catch our flight from Belize to the states to bring my husband home on 2/18/2013 they would not let him go same carrier same airlines soft carrier said it was 1/4 inch to long my mother and step father were there and could not believe that they did that or people on the airplane , i was falling apart and bawling the whole time and all the way on the plane. My dog was so upset he is never away from me that my mother and step dad had to take him to the vet all his medicine was in my checked bag he has epilepsy. And they had to get him to settle down and he is very depressed and so am i. My family had to go get medicine and help from the vet and the vet could not believe they did that and said the dog should of never been separated from its owner. My mom is not well and is had a hip replacement and loss of sight in her eye. And cannot keep my dog or afford to get him home to me. I just need help to go after them, its not right and my seat next to me was empty all the way home to Belize. And why would they let me take him out on the plane if its such a issue. I want my dog home and need him and he needs me. My family and I cannot afford to pay for the big carrier now and the plane flight home. Please can someone help and help me get my little boy home

A dog is a piece of property. You can talk to the Airline and the FAA has a claim form you can file for lost property.
