Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Computer software/hardware cause of injury?

I have been diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel Syndrom and tendenitis-was awarded life time medical from my job. I would like to know why employers only are held responsible for these type injuries in worker comp cases and not the Software and Hardware companies as well, afterall they design and create the programs and computers, we manipulate on a day to day basis. How can I get compensation from companies like Microsoft? Is a lawsuit possible?

It's even been hard for plaintiffs to win against gun and tobacco manufacturers, and they are known dangers. Software is useful. You can't blame the software companies. Hardware manufacturers might be held responsible -- if you can find a lawyer who'd be willing to devote time and tremendous amounts of money to take them on. Or, better yet, a consortium of workers' comp carriers should get together and do something about it. Maybe you can spearhead that movement.
