Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I crashed my motorcycle on a cement pad recently laid in the middle of a lane by a construction CO. There were no street lights on at night, no warnings and the pad had a 2" raise above the regular road no asphalt slopes smoothing the pad out. I crashed and the construction CO is saying that they do not have to slope pads laid in the road but they are compensating me for part of my bike damages and lost work/broken clavicle. What is the law on this, I talked to another construction CO doing work in my town and they tell are telling me that they HAVE to slope raised road.

The construction company may be negligent, as may be the State of California and the County where you crashed. If you have not submitted a governmental tort claim yet, you should do so immediately. Get a lawyer at once. Good luck.....
