Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Both me and my dad's names are on the auto insurance policy. My dad was driving my car and got into a car accident at fault. If there's ever going to be an lawsuit, am I involved? Am I liable for other than the 15,000 per person or 30,000 per accident if they demand more?
