Damage by minor pedestrian

A minor's skateboard goes into the street and under the wheel of my car while I am moving. Skateboard is propelled into radiator causing $350 damage (had to be replaced). Are minor's parents responsible?

Probably not. Children are not held to the same standards as adults as far as negligence is concerned. (After all they are kids.) As a rule parents can not be held liable for the ordinary negligence of children.
