Legal Question in Personal Injury in California
I was dating this guy for a couple of weeks before we decided to sleep together. Turns out I got herpes from this encounter but I have a sneaking suspicion that he thinks I gave it to him. There's been talk of legal action on his part. I'm pretty confident about the outcome of this were to go to court but if for some reason I lose this case in court and don't have the money to pay will my family members be liable to pay? Will my parents house be taken away from them or any assets even if my name is not on any titles? I am currently still living with them and I am of age.(25) thanks.

No, your parents didn't sleep with him Hence, they are not liable. Unless, they knew you had herpes and aided and abetted you in sleeping with him. If you think you were disease free and he infected you, you can sue him for the harm.
