Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

My daughter was in a car accident about last may. It was a chain reaction. She was sort of middle car maybe third from the front. Last guy in the end who caused it ofcourse was not insured. Her car was fixed and for last few months the insurance company of lady in front of her ( person she hit) has been trying to contact her to get her statement. It has basically turned into harrasement. Some type of investigator has been by our house few times to get her statement. She told him first time to contact her insurance company. Apparently that was not good enough for them. The lady who she hit said not too worry about it too much. She was in accident two weeks before. What can we do to make this go away? My daughters insurance apparently has not or hasn't released her statement. Any help is truly appreciated.

Just tell them to leave you alone. They have no right to a statement unless you want to give it. If your daughter was injured, she can make a claim under her uninsured motorist coverage. Please contact us for a free consultation. www.lawkuhn.com

I never advise clients to give a statement. You have no legal obligation to do so (except to your own carrier. It's simply up to you. Tell them to go after the guy who was responsible. I hop this helps. Bob
