Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

My daughter's friend (15 yrs old) from out of state will be staying with us in California for school. Is it necessary that we obtain a waiver from her parents for any liability should an accident, injury or something were to happen to their daughter during her stay with us or a mishap or accident happens to her while she is away from our home? They are paying for her food and transportation. No rent is paid to us. Our home is rented.

ps: Not sure if the category of law selected - Accident Law is the correct category.

If she is injured it is her cause of action and not the parents', so a waiver from them should not be binding on her. She can not be held to a wiaver because that is a contract and a minor can not be held to honor contracts.
