Legal Question in Personal Injury in California
I am a dept head(Culinary Director). I am still of off work due to a back injury workmen comp. I was called in today to speak with my GM. He stated just to fill me in on the details of what has been going on in my absence. However, He said when I return I will not be the Culinary Director. ( He may change the job title of said person hired in to be slick about it ). He will be hiring someone in to handle operations. Which was suppose to be my job. But, wanted to me to review what this job meant to me: Just a pay check, career or my calling in life. Is this legal? Do I have any options or say so about this? I am salary. As it is now, I pay my health and dental out of pocket. Due to my work status. This is not cool. I feel very used and discarded.

You have a moral right to feel unsatisfied. Unfortunately, you have no legal rights. California is a "right to work" state, and an employer can fire ou for as little of a reason as that he does not like how you comb your hair, or how you smell. Unless your termination or discrimination fallls into the classic categoris or race, sex, religion, age, or something else, you are up the creek without a paddle. Be happy you still have a job.
If we had socialism in this country things would be better for you.
