Deteriorating lead based paint flaking and falling on dishes

Do I still have any time to legally pursue a personal injury case for exposure to lead paint. Recently became aware that many physical symptoms I suffer from are also symptoms of lead poisoning. Many symptoms my ex suffers from can also be caused by lead poisoning. I have photos of the paint flaking off the cabinet interiors, positive lead test swabs, and an actual item kept in one of the cabinets with the paint flakes still on it. Yes, 6 years later I still have an item undisturbed and covered with the paint flakes. From 1991 - 1998, I lived in a home rented from my husband's brother. In approx. October 1997, I tested and determined the paint flaking off inside my kitchen cabinets was lead based. Long story short, husband said I was crazy and brother-in-law said, forget about it or I'd have my own legal problems to deal with. Brother-in-law made good on threats and also helped my husband get an inexpensive summary dislution of our marriage. This was a legal rental with a 10+ page contract; including an unexplained,do not paint clause. We were also not given the info pamphlet about possibility of lead existing in the home. Brother-in-law is a Co. prop. assessor!

Sounds like you waited too long and the statute of limitations has expired, ending your right to file a lawsuit. But I could be wrong, consult an attorney in person.
