Dog bites are covered under homeowner's policy. Have you identified the owner and collected the pertinent information?

Re: dog bite

Yes, our firm handles dog bite cases. What are the circumstances of

getting bit? Do you have any knowledge of this dog attacking or biting anyone else before? Do you have photos of the dog? of your injuries? What is your job and how much money did you lose from not being able to work? Do you have health insurance? If so, did it cover your health care costs? What did you have to pay in co-pays or deductibles? Please keep all of your records regarding this. If no health insurance, have you paid any of the medical expenses? Do you know the approximate total of medical expenses incurred? We would be happy to discuss this matter with you.

Re: dog bite

Mark,

Any personl injury law firm with extensive experience in dog attack cases can help you out.

In California the dog's owner is strictly liable for bite injuries their dogs cause. If the dog's owner owns a home, his homeowners' insurance policy will step up and pay the claim as long as the dog has not been excluded on the policy.

These days we find that many insurance companies are excluding the more aggressive breeds of dog from coverage on homeowners' policies.

Be sure to get an attorney very expereince with dog attack cases. It will make huge difference in the amount of your recovery. We have handled nearly a hundred dog attack cases.

Re: dog bite

Yes, you do have a case. Whether you can actually recover money depends on certain factors. Many dog bite claims are excluded by home owner insurance policies now. To recover from an individual depends on their monetary solvency and how they hold any assets, such as in a trust or corporation.
