Legal Question in Personal Injury in California
Employer Refused Doctors Orders, causing disability
I am looking for an attorney to sue my employer USPS, and my postmaster for deliberately injuiring me at work. On 6/20/06 I injured my shoulder, claim was excepted by dept. labor, shoulder sprain. I was given certain work restrictions by my doctor that the USPS were required to follow, My postmaster at 95070 refused my Doctors orders, said they were unexceptable, I explained this was illlegal he stated if I were scheaduled to work by him and i did not comply I would be suspended(first step of termination process) an d be given a letter of warning Aginst doctors orders with fear of discpine if I did not work, I worked on 7/22/06. Before i started I had the supervisor read a note I had written, for fear of further injury I request that I be let go, I said my doctor ordered this, I was refused, so I worked 6hrs. now my shoulder was killing me, I went home sick. When my doctor found out my employer could careless about doctors notes, she said it was a legal document, what I needed was an attorney!! By the way after I worked 7/22/06, I injured my shoulder further...the end of my clavicle was cut off, and my bicep tendon had to be reattached to the bone, I was out for 3 1/2 months. Evidence I have, I need someone to go to FED.CT

You need an attorney who handles Federal Workers Compensation cases. These are difficult to find. I would start by asking your coworkers and spend some time on Google. Yes, google. Search "federal workers compenstaion attorney" and you should find a few people who handle it. Otherwise, call your County Bar and see if they have a referral program.
