is my employer responsible for replacing/repairing my windshield from damages that occured while traveling for my employer?

It depends on your understanding. If you have full coverage insurance, you can get it replaced for no cost to you, so why charge your employer, if you can find a windsheield replacement company that waives the deductible?

Mr. Marman asks good questions, but if, for whatever reason, you need to have your employer pay for it, you are entitled to that. The Labor Code requires an employer to indemnify an employee from all costs losses and expenses incurred as a consequence of the employment. Usually this comes up in connection with an employee being sued, but it also applies to damage.
