Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

employment treatened

I work as a sales rep for a large company and have been pressured by my direct supervisor to quit. I don't feel they have just cause. I told her verbally and through emails that she needs to fire me if that is the company position. She says she wants me to find something else instead of fire me. This is very puzzling.

Don't quit. If you quit, you are not entitled to unemployment insurance benefits. Send a letter to her and to upper management asking if there is some area of dissatisfaction with your performance. Let them know that you appreciate your job and want to improve in any areas in which your supervisors thing are important.

If she speaks to you about resigning, document the conversation and your position in a letter to her, copy to the human resources department.

Good Luck.
