Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Someone extorted 50.00 from my mother they already had scratches on their automobile and they said that my mother had hit them before and she wrote them a check they cashed the check right after my mothe wrote the check before this happend the other driver was swearing and came out of their car and told my mother to pay up in a demanding manner what could my mother do she did not hit the car. and still the other drive had threatened her.
