Eye Injury
I went to an eye glass company for glasses, they dilated my eyes causing me to have a closed angle attack. For 3 days the optometrist did not reconize my symptoms causing me nerve damage, pupil deformation and going tomorrow for my 3rd laser surgery. Two attorneys said I had a case but would not take the case because the ophthalogist who treated me wont get involved, everyone agree's that the optometrist was negligent. What is my course of action?

I would be happy to speak with you at no charge about your case. Even though your treating doctor will not get involved it does not mean you cannot pursue a case. The thing to do is obtain an independent expert to evaluate your situation. If he or she says there was negligence then you have a case. Call me to discuss (818 597-2610). Howard Silver

Witness don't have the option of whether or not they want to get involved. If a doctor has performed a procedure with skill or in a manner that falls below the community standards, then you may have a medical malpractice suit against that doctor. Please call me directly at (619) 222-3504.
Re: Eye Injury
ATTORNEYS WHO ARE EXPERIENCED IN MEDICAL MALPRACTICE CASES CAN HIRE OUTSIDE DOCTORS TO REVIEW YOUR RECORDS AND ACT AS AN EXPERT WITNESS FOR YOU EVEN IF YOUR OWN TREATING PHYSICIAN WILL NOT COOPERATE OR PARTICIPATE IN YOUR CASE.
EACH COUNTY HAS A TRIAL LAWYERS ASSOCIATION COMPRISED MAINLY OF PLAINTIFFS' ATTORNEYS. YOU SHOULD CONTACT YOUR LOCAL COUNTY TRIAL LAWYER ASSOCIATION AND REQUEST A REFERRAL TO SPEAK WITH AN ATTORNEY WHO IS EXPERIENCED IN MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE CASES. YOU SHOULD DO THIS A.S.A.P. BECAUSE THERE ARE SPECIFIC STATUTES AND TIME LIMITS WHICH APPLY TO THESE TYPES OF CASES.
GOOD LUCK.
