What's an eye out worth?
What's an eye out (prosthetic installed) worth in a civil case? And in the workers' comp arena?

Obviously an eye out is worth a substantial damage award, less in work comp. Watch out for legal time limits, and if your eye was put out I am sorry this happened to you.
Re: What's an eye out worth?
I vaguly recall that loss of an eye is a 40% disability. Some local WCAB have a free injured employee's advisor who could give yo that information. If liability exists, a civil suit will award much more than a WCAB case. And in a civil case you must show that the person you are suing was negligent; you can not sue your supervisor or co-employee unless ther was wanton negilgence. If on the job, you can go against both claims but one might offset the other
Re: What's an eye out worth?
It's worth whatever a jury says its worth. In workers comp,it will be a fixed value. I can refer you to a great workers comp attorney if this is a workers comp case. If you want the referral call or email me.
