Obviously an eye out is worth a substantial damage award, less in work comp. Watch out for legal time limits, and if your eye was put out I am sorry this happened to you.

I vaguly recall that loss of an eye is a 40% disability. Some local WCAB have a free injured employee's advisor who could give yo that information. If liability exists, a civil suit will award much more than a WCAB case. It's worth whatever a jury says its worth. In workers comp,it will be a fixed value. I can refer you to a great workers comp attorney if this is a workers comp case. If you want the referral call or email me.
