Legal Question in Personal Injury in California
My father was electrocuted in June of 1957 by a transformer owned by a Southern California Edison Company , Sub-Station for the California Water Service on Redondo Beach Blvd. and Pier. My father survived, but has had troubles with his feet and legs ever since. Is it possible to find out if there was ever a settlement reached "Both his parents have passed , so we would have no way of finding out". If not, is there anyway possible to pursue something like this now? I understand there is a statue of limitations, but considering the damage and the condition that he has been left to deal with, Is it possible at all to pursue? My father has been deemed permanatly disabled and the doctor's have stated they believe the damage to his legs is primarly caused my the electrocusion. Please let me know if there is anything that can be done. I thank you advance for your time and efforts.

No the incident happened far too long ago to sue SCE for his injuries now. The time within which to bring a lawsuit for personal injury then was 1 year, a couple years ago it has now been extended to two years. AS for if there was a settlement you could check the court records in the court where the incident occurred and see if you can find a record of an action ever being filed. That would give you a place to start.
Good luck and sorry couldn't be of more help
