Yes, you can fire your personal injuury attorney. If the attorney fees are on a contingency, you don't have to pay the 2nd lawyer individually, meaning, the 1st lawyer gets paid SOLELY by the first lawyer.

In California, the #1 complaint about attorneys, which is said, some don't return phone calls.

To me, this is very rude and unprofessional.

One key, the first attorney will try to get you to fire him. Why? Because if you do, he has a right to claim attorney fees. On the other hand, if the attorney fires you, then he/she has no right to any attorney fees.

What gets an attorney motivated. Just leave a message that all the phone calls are documented and that you're going to file a complaint with the State Bar (the government entity that licenses attorneys), not the Bar Association, rather, a statewide association.
