Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Good Morning, Im a homeowner in a 33 unit condo complex. For 2 years my roof has been leaking and both balconies allowing water intrusion into the inside walls. After 5 certified letters to the Management Company absolutely no repairs. I have been told by other homeowners that this Management Company and Board of Directors consider me a problem homeowner. On very very reliable information passed on to me im labeled by said mgmt. co. and BOD as the 'CRAZY OLD MAN' with severely bad health that if they wait long enough "i'll be dead and their responsiblity is over'. Being a former combat Marine, wheelchair confined, 14 months hospitalized with a stroke and last year a quad bypass. Is this Slander/Libel or even worth going after in the legal process? I thank you

No. Defamation (which is the umbrella term for libel and slander) is only legally actionable if it results in measurable economic loss. Furthermore, it must be an express statement of fact that is false and someone believing the falsehood must be the cause of the economic loss. Opinion is not actionable. So if you pursued this, it would be thrown out of court.
