Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Hello,
My husband Mike and I live in a mobile home park .Mike was outside working in our yard when the septic tank collapsed and he fell in. Our neighbor AJ and his friend saw this happen and ran to help Mike. Unfortunately AJ also fell in a little bit. The owner of the park was notified by a neighbor since we were trying to calm down after it all happened and the only thing she would say is 'well I guess Mike and AJ better go take a shower then'.
This happened about a month ago and our yard and etc. have almost been repaired to the way it was before everything happened.
Mike didn't go to the drs after the fall due to the fact we can't afford it. We both have been getting alot of headaches, nausea, and upset stomics from the smell of the sewer that covered some of our back yard.
The septic company that the owner employed had us empty our shed so they could move it down the street out of their way. We put as many of Mikes tools and etc. where ever we could but some of the tools and etc. that couldn't be put into a secured place were either stolen or damaged. Our question is this...... How do we go about getting some kind of compensation for everything we have been thru.? The owner of the park won't even offer an apology,
