Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Hi,

How do I go after a person who hit my car with a shopping cart? she refuse to give any information from her or insurance. I only have a license plate to know her.

Insurance states its not a vehicle involved and police say its a civil matter.

How do I proceed?

Please advise.

Try going to the DMV and telling them that this person caused you damages and they may be able to give you a form to fill out to get the identity of the other person.

It may be called a SR1.
