Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I hit someone's parked car. I left all of my information. We decided to handle not through insurance. It took him 2 months to get back to me with the estimates. He is trying to charge me for other damages that were already on the car. He also got all the damages fixed already. What do I do? He is trying to charge me for damages I did not cause.

I hope that you took pictures. You may have to turn this over to your insurance company to fight if the other party is trying to pull a fast one.
