Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

homeowner liability

May 2004

I was in an auto accident ,fractured ankle required 2 surgeries 17yo found at fault said he thought the mail box blocked his view he only saw the truck behind me attnys filed against parents said that they were going for homeowners policy for mailbox july2005

Mediation insurance attnys /mediator said impossible. My attny said he cannot bring up that the mailbox was moved to other side of driveway because they did it to make it safe.

Approx. 95% of homes have their mailboxes on the side he moved his to. There seem to be a lot of accidents on that road its a 2 lane rural hwy.

What recourse do I have I turned down $25,000 offer from kids auto coverage my losses exceed $90,000

Re: homeowner liability

It was difficult for me to understand the facts of your case based upon your drafting of the question. However, it appears for some reason that your attorney decided to go after the homeowner rather than the 17 year old who struck you with his car. Were you a pedestrian? Please call me at 818.943.0462 and I will be able to advise you better.
