horseback riding
co worker came to my house, she rode my horse, she is not experienced rider. coming back from the trail at a walk, horse decides to roll. very carefully she(horse) went to her knees and laid down, person hopped off and said she hurt her wrist. approx a week later says her wrist is broken and wants my husband and I to pay her co-pays, am I obligated to do so and can she sue me?

Sounds like your co-worker is being reasonable asking for only her co-pays.

This is one of those cases that are unfortunate to both parties. Your co-worker could sue you. In reality anybody can sue anybody. Whether your co-worker would win is another matter. Did the accident occur on your property? If so it may be covered by your homeowners insurance. If you knew your friend had no experience riding you could be liable for negligence by allowing her to ride the horse. If you knew your horse had a propensity to do this type of thing you could also be liable for negligence. Possible defenses are primary assumption of risk, etc. Even if you do pay her meds, she could still sue you. You want to make sure a release is done if any money changes hands.
