Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

My ex husband who lives in Florida keeps harassing me 1 and a half years after our divorce by writing nasty emails to people I know and my parents about me, how can I stop him?

You may be able to get a restraining order and/or sue him for damages. But note that it can be difficult to get an order forbidding him to send messages to other people unless they expressly ask for such an order.

For a restraining order to be effective, you may need to get it from a court in Florida instead of California. I would need to know more about the case before I could say how effective a California court order might be.
