Legal Question in Personal Injury in California
Injured on casino bus-who's responsible?
I was injured (back) after riding a bus to a casino, a bus that they chartered. The air shocks were out, and nobody warned us. After arriving at the casino and notifying them of my injury, I was told that they had no responsibilty, and that the bus company sent out a mechanic and fixed the shocks. I rode back home on the bus and soon realized the shocks had not been fixed, causing more injury. I spoke to the bus company, who said that the casino was lying when they said the bus had been repaired, as they never sent out a mechanic. As it stands now, it's been two days, I can barely move, and the casino and bus company are both saying the other is responsible. I have been unable to be seen by a doctor as I am uninsured. What can I do? Who's responsible?

Although there are a few more questions I would like to ask you, it does seem like you may have a valid claim against the bus company and/or the casino. Please contact my office at 818.385.0520 to discuss.
Re: Injured on casino bus-who's responsible?
Hello, I am sorry about you accident and I hope you are feeling better. It is likely that the casino is liable in this case if certain requirement are met (such as whether the driver was their employee, whether they owned or leased the bus, etc...). It is also possible that a third party owning/using the bus in which you were a passenger will be liable.
At this point, you absolutely must see a doctor as soon as possible, get x-rays and further evaluation. Don't worry about the expense. Vast majority of hospital, especially general hospitals, such as St. Mary's in Sacramento will treat you and will work with you on a manageable payment plan later.
Also, if you are represented by an attorney, he will be able to place your obligations on hold until the settlement or judgment is reached.

Both could be responsible depending on a lot of variables. You need to hire a PI atty so you can get medical care on a lien basis.
