Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Injured Child

My son was at school he was walking up the stairs in a hurry and grab a hold of the banister and was cut in the palm of his hand, the school called me to take him to the hospital for emergency treatment he was treated and given sutures and had his hand wrapped. I would like to know what is my legal recoarse as a parent. My son is covered by Kaiser health insurance is there any monetary damages due us for pain and suffering because he is on the football team and this injury will hold him back from playing as well as trying out for the basketball team which he has always been a part of.

Your son does have a claim for his injuries and the pain and other aspects of how the injury may affect him. You must present the claim within 180 days of the accident. You should contact an attorney for further help.
