Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

injured pedestrian

I struck a pedestrian with auto. Lightly enough not to knock him over. He said he was okay. He Proposed that I "go out" with him to call it even. I declined this. Then he said to give him money to call it even. Said I didnt have any. Gave him my work number just in case. He left message saying he couldnt work today because he couldnt walk and that I should get in touch with him. Question is what can he do to me? Police were not called for an accident report because he said that he was okay. There is no obvious physical damage to him. Thank you for your time and consideration.
