Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Intentional Inflection of Emotional Distress

I am being sued by an inmate for infliction of emotional distress. We once had a (short) romantic relationship and now he is suing me. I don't know how to respond to this. How do I defend myself against all the statements he is making?

If you have homeowners insurance turn it over to them as it might be covered. If not, any lawyer who knows anything about civil litigation should be able to get rid of that stupid lawsuit.

As the person is an inmate, you have a leg up. But you must file your answer and do a defense.

You do a general denial, add some affirmative defenses, and then file this with the court within the 30 days for you to answer. Then you take great pleasure in serving him discovery. And after he blows the answers. You continue to torture him legally.
