Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

We were involed in an accident-automobile and pedestrian- we have settle out of court for a set amount -our lawyers sent us a power of attorney for us to sign and they will deposit the monies for us .Does this sound appropiate? Is this customary? Thank You in advance- george

Yes, this is customary. Once you have signed the release, the attorney can endorse your name to the settlement draft and save you the time of going into the office and signing the draft.
