In California, all trial courts are set up on a county wide system; each county handles matters related to that county. They are all State Courts, but merely for a single county's cases. Federal court handle federal matters, and there also are bankruptcy, military, etc., courts of law. You have asked a very general question so I do not know what else you want to know.

There is no county court in California. All of the courts are uniform now. They are all the Superior Court of California. The one in LA is Los Angeles County. The one in Orange, Orange County. This is unlimited jurisdiction and limited jurisdiction cases depending upon the amount in dispute. But, all courts are the same.
