Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

My lawyer is not delivering what he promised, one can only think bout conflict o
Couple years ago, I got injured by falling head first from a school bus, the accident was largely attributed from the bus drivers gross negligence. Let's keep in mind-I m already a paraplegic as a result of injury sustained 2 years prior. From this accident, I lost my sense of smell, was in a commatos state for 3 weeks and most of all lost valuable time from school. My dad obtained a personal injury attorney that came very highly regarded but two years later at the settlement phase he suggested we settle for an unacceptable amount of figures. My medical bill was 25k but he has considered the fact that i lost valuable time from my education nor that i have to take large dose of narcatic pills and other pain supressant medications for the rest of my life. bottom line is i don't know what an acceptable figure for settlement is, I personaly think low to mid-7figures and somekind of school incetive to continue my education, it's a start to the right direction... Considering I had a very bright future when i was in high school (I made a tremendous contributions to community in general
