Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Lawyer Drops Personal Injury Case

After 3 1/2 years, our lawyer wants to drop our case. I've searched for 2 months and can't find another lawyer to take over. What are my options?

Keep searching.

The State Bar has Lawyer Referral Services throughout the state, so call your local bar association for a referral.

Otherwise, look in the yellow pages, ask friends for the names of their attorneys, or look through those of us helping people like you through "Law Guru". Today, with computers, faxes, cell phones, etc. your lawyer doesn't have to be in your neighborhood. The only time I meet a number of my clients is when I have to go to court for them.

Good luck!

Keep looking, negotiate a settlement on your own, try the case yourself in pro per (representing yourself.)
