liability question

IF someone walking on a public sidewalk slips and falls on dirt or rocks or bark from someones yard is the homeowner liable for negligence and damages

Remember also that the local municipality may be responsible for the condition of the sidewalk (e.g. buckled sidewalks caused by root expansion). If this is true then your attorney would have to file a claim with the city for a "dangerous condition of public property" within six months of the injury.
