Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

We live in CA and were involoved in a hit and run accident that totaled the car. Is the towing company allowed to withold the car over the weekend and charge us for it? the car was crashed on saturday and we offered to pick it up that day. Also there was $700 locked in the glove box. In the case that the glove box is broken into what action can we take against the towing company?

Are you talking about some $50 for an extra day or two? You can pay the money and move on with your life or retain a lawyer and spend $3000-5000 in fees.

You can always sue in small claims court.
