Legal Question in Personal Injury in California
Why would I get a long distance phone call from "a process server" asking if I would be home between certain hours to receive a "summons and complaint"? I am a homebound college student. Is this something that is normal and legal?

Not normal and you could refuse and make it difficult for them to serve you with papers. But you will eventually be served anyway, so you may as well make it easy on them and on you.
