How much money can a person receive from a work related injury lawsuit?

Almost certainly less than it will cost them to deal with the injury. So if it's a huge injury, a lot, but less than the cost of care, etc. If it's minor, then very little.

Employees who are injured on the job are normally required to file for worker's compensation benefits and may not sue the employer, so the recovery is usually less than in a non- work related lawsuit. On the other hand, it is easier to win a comp case.
